The Old City is quieter and slower-paced than Nimman, and wifi tends to be slower too. These spots, inside the moat or just outside Tha Phae Gate, are the most workable:

Santitham sits between Nimman and the Old City and has a more local feel. Its work cafés are fewer but well used by remote workers:

- Tora Bake (attached to One Workspace, Chang Phueak): a relaxed bakery café where each purchase comes with a one-hour wifi pass. Upload speeds can be weak, so it suits focused writing more than video calls.

Thai café culture is relaxed, but a few habits keep you welcome:
- Buy a drink roughly every couple of hours you’re there.
- Don’t take a six-person table to yourself at lunchtime.
